Biography

Bahinabai was born into a family of peasants and was married off at a young age. She was a religious woman who worshipped Lord Pandurang as well as his low caste worshipper and saint, Tukaram. Bahinabai wrote poems in the praise of Pandurang. She did not limit her poetry to praising God but also wrote poems on her daily life.
